Picture2Melissa is a PhD student at the University of Barcelona, who is currently working in the Integrative Crop Ecophysiology Group, in the Biology department, analyzing the effects of ozone pollution on the yield, quality, metabolites and isotopic signature of wheat.

She is currently cooperating with CIEMAT (Centro de Investigaciones Energéticas, Medioambientales y Tecnológicas) in a 12-cultivar experiment performed in open top chambers, and analyzing the results from an experiment performed in 2019 with the Helmholtz Zentrum München. Before starting her PhD project, she worked in fauna biodiversity conservation, ecosystem management, ozone pollution and abiotic stress indicators in the Peruvian Andes and rainforest, and during her studies in Virginia and Newcastle Upon Tyne.
