A recent article entitled “Root traits and resource acquisition determining durum wheat performance under Mediterranean conditions: An integrative approach” was published in AWM Journal. This paper highlights the main root and shoot characteristics associated with higher grain yield performance in Wheat genotypes grown under different field growing conditions. To achieve such objective, the study focused on an interdisciplinary approach integrating the sciences of stable isotopes, shovelomics, soil coring and remote sensing, together with agronomical traits.
