PhD Student – University of Barcelona (UB), Spain
M.Phil. in Botany – University of Okara, Pakistan
Bachelor’s in Botany – Bahauddin Zakariya University, Pakistan

Currently she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Evolutionary Biology, Ecology and Environmental Sciences at the University of Barcelona. She is specializing in plant physiology and molecular biology, focusing on salinity stress, stable isotope analysis, and genotypic adaptations in crops like durum wheat, bread wheat, and barley.

Her research bridges advanced techniques such as leaf porometer, Carbon and nitrogen stable isotopes (δ13C, δ15N), microscope for counting stomata, LI-COR Plant Canopy Analyzers (LAI-2000, LAI-2200, and LAI-2200C), Porometer- stomatal conductance, transpiration, and fluorescence of chlorophyll in leaves, Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) – green seeker, Li-6800 portable photosynthesis system, agronomic parameters (biomass, GY, etc), and leaf chlorophyll content (SPAD) studies with practical solutions to improve crop resilience and productivity under challenging environmental conditions.

Previously, she earned an M.Phil. in Botany, where she explored the innovative application of chitosan nanoparticles to combat drought stress in maize, underscoring a commitment to sustainable agricultural advancements.
